Here is the Winning Poem

The Cat's Whiskas

Dear Whiskas cat food, I’ve something to say,
I like Whiskas’ varieties, they are OK.
But I have a suggestion, I’d like to make,
take notice of a cat, for goodness sake.

What cats really prefer, is not what you think,
it’s not beef, lamb and vegetable, sea bream or shrimp.
You see I don’t like vegetables, I’m a carnivore at heart,
and I can’t catch tuna, and that’s just the start

Lamb, beef and turkey, are just not natural to me,
a cat stalking cattle, you just wouldn’t see.
So let me offer you a word of advice,
a new range of flavours, that would be nice.

Some sparrow and blackbird, or mouse or rat,
or shrew chunks in gravy, how about that?
Some crunchy spider treats, for now and then,
oh, some roasted robin, and umm, some wren.

To a cat Whiskas’ flavours, are so unnatural and absurd,
that we supplement our diets, with mice and birds.
We’re chastised for doing, what we have to do,
but really the blame, should lie with you.

So sit up and listen, I am the customer,
stop telling us cats, what we like and prefer.
Give us what is natural, and I’ll make sure,
if you make proper cat food, we’ll catch birds no more!
