The Night
Falls
As the day is
ending,
the colors fill the sky.
The outlines of the mountains
kiss the sun goodbye.
The stars begin to twinkle
in the afterglow.
Over the dark terrain
the moonlight starts to flow.
The ground begins to cool,
a nip is in the air.
The shadows of the night time
are casting everywhere.
The earth is slowly turning
towards another day.
While many of its creatures
sleep the night away.

This Poem Was
Written Shortly After My Grandad
Passed Away
Grandad I
watched you fading, and slowly slip
away,
I knew your time was close, it was
getting closer by the day.
Although I already knew, nothing
could prepare,
Prepare me for the worst, when you
were no longer there.
I know sometimes it seemed like I
didn't really care,
But I think you already know that I
couldn't bear.
I couldn't bear to see you, whilst
you were so ill,
Just to sit in your room, whilst you
lay there so still.
When I finally came, I came to say
goodbye,
but all that I could do is look at
you and cry.
I now know that you're happy and I
fully understand,
you've gone to a better place now,
you're with Nan in your own special
land.
So now I'll take this chance to tell
you that I care,
I love and miss you lots and I'm
glad you're now up there.
You're up there with Nan, and pain is
in the past,
Although that you're both gone, my
love for you will last.

No
Guilt No Shame
Into the refuge
the women they came
Feeling so guilty and heads hung in
shame
The pain on their faces it's easy to
see
What is the reason that they had to
flee
Into this shelter some safety they
seek
Nerves they are shattered and
physically weak
But hope is around them with
problems to share
The others will help you and yes
they do care
Time is a healer they say, this is
true
Out from the blackness will come the
new you
Don't take the blame now, it isn't
your fault
You've done the right thing, and
help you have sought
Not all men are bastards with time
you will see
Break off these chains now and you
will be free
Life is worth living and yes lots of
fun
Who knows what's out there the joy's
yet to come

Mother
Earth
Mother
Earth's giving us all a warning,
famine and drought and global
warming
The air we fill with toxic gas, the
side effects we hope will pass
Oceans rising, not surprising, when
will we all start realising, Mother
Earth is slowly dying.
Problem
is we're all too greedy, keep the
rich rich and forget the needy
Rainforests vanish within a week,
the animals' futures look so bleak,
problem is they just can't speak
When will we all start realising,
Mother Earth is slowly dying.
A
message to the super powers, who
think they own this world of ours
Work together to find a solution,
for cleaner air and less pollution,
instead of harming evolution
When will we all start realising,
Mother Earth is slowly dying.

Fragile
as Glass
Leave me
alone; I've done nothing wrong,
All you do is sing the same old
song.
You wait for
me to crack; I'm fragile as glass,
The torments, the torture, I'm the
jokes, the laughs.
You want me
to fail to humiliate me,
Why do you stop and stare at me?
I've
suffered enough your work here is
done,
Look at yourself and what you've
become.
You say
you're my friend, who needs a foe,
You hurt me so much that I want you
to know
As time
passes slowly the scars will fade,
But it happens so much that I am
afraid.
It's a
cold-hearted world out there, can't
you see,
I'm a really great person, just take
a look, it's me.
