My name is Susan
Barnard. I am in my early
fifties and was born in
Bucks and have lived in
Bucks all my life. I
started writing poetry at
about twelve years old
when inspired by the
countryside of Devon,
Dorset and Cornwall. I am
inspired now by many
aspects of life but nature
remains my most important
element. Despite many
attempts over the years to
get some of my work
published, this is my
first success.
I have many interests
in my life which includes
gardening, aromatherapy
and my animal house mates.
I take part in a UK
phonology study which
helps provide statistics
about climate change.
My major concerns in
this ever more violent
world are the loss of
habitat for our wildlife
and the lack of humility
within the human race, we’re
here for such a short time
that we don’t have time
to be arrogant about
anything.
