Born in Chicago to
classical musician
parents, Carla Iacovetti
was doused into the fine
arts and the world of
literature at birth. She
doesn’t remember a time
that music, live theatre
and the ballet were not a
part of her life.
Iacovetti’s mother was a
university music professor
and her father a classical
symphony
conductor/composer, who
also taught high school
orchestra for many years.
Her love for literature,
poetry and creative
writing was highly
influenced by her
violinist mother, also a
poet in her own right. By
the time Iacovetti was in
her pre-teens, a backyard
children’s theatre group
performed her first
written play in Fresno,
California.
Currently residing in
the beautiful oasis,
Carmel by the Sea,
California, Iacovetti is
the mother of two grown
children. With a passion
for literature and
creative writing,
currently she has been
published as a poet in
several anthologies over
the last few years and
currently has an original
screenplay (one of six she
has written) presently in
revision for hopeful
production.
According to Iacovetti,
‘I am passionate about
words and the rhythm that
they create, giving
expanded meaning to the
mundane or enhancing the
brilliant, no matter what
form they are delivered.
When all is said and done,
and my life is finished,
there will be only one
thing that remains; the
memories that I have left
with those that have known
me and my words, whether
written or spoken will be
a reflection of the life I
have lived’.
