George
Pottinger
I
started writing
a couple of
years ago,
mainly song
lyrics for the
music I’m
producing. About
a year ago my
Dad suggested
that a lot of
song lyrics are
just ‘poetry
to music’ and
we decided to
bring the
material
together in one
place. Thus my
book ‘The
Unsung Songs’
came into being!
I’ve
also written new
material
especially for
the book.

Orders
Of The New
World
Nurture
the craving for
flesh,
Desire the world
you see in the
mirror,
Feel nothing for
the man next
door,
Millions for the
millions on
distant shores,
Crave a love to
cling to,
Love your grip
to slip, let go,
Live in a house
of glass,
Go on; sell
yourself to a
stranger,
Become bacterium
that spreads,
Join the sluts
at the pavilion,
Feel nothing
from the bottle
to the mans
head,
Its ok, we’re
better than
them,
Just one more
fag, just one
more…
Fear or
religion,
we’ve pinned
you down,
Do not obey, do
not respect
others,
Cover the fields
in sin, scum

From
Years Ahead…
We’ve
had our chance,
We’ve no time
to dance,
Across the lunar
skies,
He wipes the
tears from his
eyes,
In shame that
someone might
see,
The faith he put
in you and me,
We’ve had our
chance,
We’ve had our
chance they say,
To turn the
clock,
To make it stop,
The penny drops,
He’s gone away
and all will
say,
It was years ago
our chance to
stay,
Our chance to
live
