Rob Cunningham

I spent my early life in Liverpool 8, playing hide and seek in the `Deri`s, (Derelict houses), and footie on the `Debri`s, (Waste ground) in and around the Maple Grove, Sefton & Princes Park areas,  Whilst being educated at Tiber St. Infants & Junior School off Lodge Lane.

My Parents relocated to Cheshire in the late sixties , we,. as their children were granted two choices so took them both,.. our hearts stayed at home, and the rest went to `Bloody Winfield` as I thought it was called, where I was sure I would need a new language.

My earliest lyrical influence was Tyrannosaurus Rex,.. yes that 14ft high carnivorous future monster of Glam , Marc Bolan, with such unique descriptive almost magical content I just had to find out for myself what inspired such energy.

I am married to Elaine, my only Love, and we share eight Babies,..7 Girls & 1 Boy who range from,  7yrs old to 26,.. all to each other , no 2nd relationships, we`ve been together since 1977, . I`m  a semi retired Plasterer , 3rd generation family taught, and our only son may be the next,. Thankfully (for me), I am still searching for that secret to life some 36 years, later, and feel the same inexplicable energy inside whenever I write,  it`s the same as I felt as a child on Christmas Eve.

I thank sincerely any and all who view my efforts,. Even if you loathe and detest each and every one,  at least you bothered to feel!

Be Happy When You Can.

Forgotten Paradise

Upon a hill enchanted Sits

an old bewildered house,

Who cannot understand why

No-one comes to view his grounds.

The Tallest trees. On earth has he!

The softest sweetest grass.

A stream beyond the woods below

chuckles spritely  past.

Within his walls are artefacts

So delicate and rare

Such wonders are unequalled

By any,…Anywhere!!

And he himself is generous

So kind and loving too,

His heart it fills with hope each time

He feels some one may care.

This fire lit within his soul

Will burn forever there

To welcome his new family….

The answer to his prayers………..
