Anchor Books was set up in 1992 and has firmly established itself as the people's poetry imprint. It aims to publish poetry which is sincere, uncomplicated and a pleasure to read. Almost all of Anchor Books' material is traditional, rhyming poetry, which is suitable for all the family to read. Anchor Books poets come from all kinds of backgrounds, and cover a wide age range. The subjects on which they write reflect everyday life. They tell stories, share anecdotes, marvel at the beauty of the world around us, and offer hope and inspiration in times of need.
