'Good morning children, and what a wonderful day it's going to be,' said Mr Owens, as he turned to face them.

Neither of the children understood what he meant, but just hearing his voice sent shivers of excitement down their spines.

'Have you ever been in there?' asked Mr Owens, pointing his long tapering finger to the dense forest ahead of them.

The start of an exciting journey for ten-year-old Issy and her nine-year-old brother, Kyle.

Their magical adventure takes them in to a land of castles, knights, and dragons, and a very special unicorn.

An enchanting tale for the younger reader.

The Author

Christine Warner was born in Muswell Hill, London, in 1937, although, for the last thirty years or so, she has lived in Cambridgeshire.

She has written stories and poems, for her own enjoyment, since her school days, and some of her poems have already been published in the press and in anthologies.

A Dream Come True is her first book to be published. She was inspired to write this story when she was watching two of her grandchildren, Issy and Kyle, playing make-believe games, and hearing that they wanted to see a real unicorn and dragon.

Since giving up her Country and Western singing career, Christine has more time to devote to writing children's stories, and already has another magical story on the way.

This is just as well, as she has four daughters and a son of her own, plus eight grandchildren, to entertain with her fantasies.

Christine lives in Peterborough with her cat, Kitz, and her budgerigar, Sparky.
