'When I was very young, my father told me that Blondin had walked over Niagara Falls on a tightrope…'

Without doubt, Blondin was a great artiste and a superlative showman. It is for his performances that he is remembered and it is because of his amazing feats that everybody (or virtually everybody!) has heard of Blondin.

The Author

Born at Barnoldswick (then in Yorkshire, now in Lancashire), Ken Wilson qualified in architecture and town planning and became Deputy Borough Architect of the London Borough of Bromley. During his service with Bromley he designed the Churchill Theatre and Central Library complex.

Now living at Shoreham, Kent, he is fulfilling his ambition to work full-time as an artist, writer and public speaker. His paintings have often been exhibited in London and the North of England - and this is the fifteenth book he has had published.
