The Pater

John Lockwood Kipling
His Life and Times 1837-1911

Author: Arthur R Ankers

 ISBN: 1-871044-00-6 | Price: £9.95 | 161pages | Paperback

The Pater is the first ever biography of John Lockwood Kipling - and it is a story which deserves to be told. Quite apart from his influence upon and contributions to his son Rudyard's work (for example, he illustrated 'Kim' and 'The Jungle Books'), in his own right he was a significant designer, journalist, author and teacher of arts and crafts. Many previously unpublished drawings and photographs are included, not least a beautiful photograph of John Lockwood and his son.

The Pater is out of print
